Terms of use
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between us and a golf society that uses Golf Society Home. The officer who opens the account accepts them on the society's behalf. Members who use the service through their society are covered by section 9.
1. Who we are
Golf Society Home and GoChuchuro are trading names of Prakash Gurung, a sole trader based in England. Business address: 1 Rake Way, Andover SP11 6FX, United Kingdom. In these pages, "we" and "us" means Prakash Gurung trading as Golf Society Home. Contact us at hello@golfsocietyhome.com; for payments, billing@golfsocietyhome.com.
2. The service
Golf Society Home is online software for running a golf society: the members register, events and invitations, entries and the draw, Score cards, results, the Order of Merit, subscriptions and fees. Each society gets its own pages at golfsocietyhome.com/yoursociety. We may improve and change features over time. We will not take away a feature your plan depends on without telling you at least 30 days before.
3. Your account and officers
- The officer who opens the account is its first administrator and can add other officers with set roles.
- Sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for what your officers do in the Office and for removing officers who leave the committee.
- Web addresses are given on a first-come basis. We may reclaim an address that is misleading, infringes someone else's rights or belongs to an account unused for two years.
4. Plans, payment and cancelling
- The Free plan is free with no time limit, within its member and player limits.
- Paid plans (Starter, Standard, Unlimited) are billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the prices on our website when you choose the plan. Yearly plans cost ten months' fees for twelve months.
- You can pay by card through Stripe or by bank transfer. A bank transfer switches the plan on once we have confirmed it has arrived.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
- You can move plans or cancel at any time from the Office. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the paid plan until the period ends. We do not refund part-periods, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment is not made, the society moves to Free. Nothing is deleted. Features above Free are paused until payment is made, and records over the Free limits become read-only.
5. Your society's data
Your society owns its data. You can download the register, results and accounts at any time. For members' personal information, your society is the controller and we are the processor. We agree that we will:
- use it only to provide the service, and only on your documented instructions (these terms and what you do in the Office);
- make sure everyone who can access it is bound to keep it confidential;
- keep it secure, as described in our Privacy notice;
- only use the sub-processors listed in the Privacy notice, and tell you 30 days before adding a new one, so you can object;
- help you respond to members exercising their rights, and with security and breach duties;
- tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours, if we become aware of a breach affecting your data;
- delete or return the data when you close the account, as the Privacy notice sets out;
- give you the information you reasonably need to show that these obligations are met.
You agree that you have a lawful basis to hold your members' details, that you tell members your society uses Golf Society Home, and that you have a parent's or guardian's agreement for any member under 18.
6. Fair use
Do not use Golf Society Home to send unwanted marketing, to post anything unlawful, offensive or that infringes someone's rights, to try to reach another society's data, or to overload or disrupt the service. Officers approve Clubhouse posts and photographs before they appear, and are responsible for what they approve. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep the service running at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Score cards save on the phone and send when there is signal. We give support by email at hello@golfsocietyhome.com, usually the same working day.
8. Liability
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to a society in any twelve months is limited to the fees it paid us in that period, or £100 if it is on Free. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Results, handicap allowances and the Order of Merit are worked out from the settings and scores entered. The society's committee remains responsible for its competition rules and for confirming results.
9. Members
Members use Golf Society Home through their society and never pay us. By signing in, a member agrees to use it fairly (section 6). A member's society decides what information it holds about them; our Privacy notice explains how we look after it.
10. Ending the agreement
You can close your society's account at any time from the Office. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or straight away if a society seriously breaks these terms. In either case you will have the chance to download your data first.
11. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new date and email officers at least 30 days before any significant change takes effect.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute.
